Job Summary

We’re looking for a Production Planning Clerk to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you’ll help coordinate production schedules, manage inventory and material flow, and support on-time delivery of critical aerospace products. You'll work closely with multiple departments to ensure resources, materials, and production priorities are aligned to meet customer and operational requirements.

Shift: 1st shift, Monday-Friday 8:30a-4:30pm

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Create, maintain, and monitor production schedules to support customer demand and operational priorities
  • Coordinate inventory levels and material availability to support uninterrupted production
  • Maintain and update production task lists and planning schedules across multiple product lines
  • Submit and maintain bills of materials in partnership with Purchasing to prevent raw material shortages
  • Track production workflow and maintain visibility of parts moving through the facility and supply chain
  • Coordinate daily and weekly production priorities to ensure material and resource availability
  • Provide production lead times and projected ship dates to internal stakeholders
  • Interface with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Finance, and other departments to resolve scheduling and material issues
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and Lean manufacturing practices
  • Maintain accurate planning and inventory records within ERP and other business systems
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior planners as needed
  • Ensure compliance with company quality, safety, environmental, and ethical standards
  • Maintain department housekeeping and safety requirements

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in production planning, manufacturing, supply chain, or a related environment
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment with complex production schedules
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and ERP systems for planning and inventory management
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across functional teams
  • Reliable attendance and commitment to meeting business objectives

 

Nice to Have

  • Experience in aerospace, aviation, energy, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries
  • APICS, CPIM, CSCP, or similar production and inventory management certification
  • Experience with Power BI, SQL, or other data analysis tools
  • Lean Manufacturing, Green Belt, or Black Belt certification
  • Project management experience
  • Knowledge of forecasting, capacity planning, and production scheduling methodologies

 

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed in both an office and manufacturing environment
  • Frequent interaction with production personnel and manufacturing operations
  • Ability to move throughout the facility to monitor production activities and inventory status
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use a computer for extended periods
  • Occasional overtime may be required to support production schedules and customer requirements
  • Must be able to comply with all facility safety requirements and wear required PPE when in production areas

 

 

This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements. Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions. We evaluate each candidate individually to ensure fair and competitive pay decisions.
