JOB TITLE: MACHINE OPERATOR – INKS & CHEMICALS DEPARTMENT

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Machine Operator – Inks & Chemicals Department to work in Kenya.

Job Purpose

To produce offset inks and chemicals as per production requirements, ensuring accurate completion of production orders within set timelines while maintaining quality, safety, and housekeeping standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Operations

·         Produce offset inks and chemicals in line with production requirements.

·         Ensure production orders are completed accurately and within set timelines.

·         Ensure correct weighing, labelling, packaging, and storage of finished products.

·         Monitor production materials and concentrates and update bin cards accordingly.

2. Machine Operation & Maintenance

·         Operate and maintain production machines and report technical faults promptly.

·         Assist in operating and maintaining the effluent treatment area.

3. Quality Control

·         Conduct colour matching and ensure products meet required quality standards.

·         Work closely with Production and Sales teams.

4. Housekeeping & Safety

·         Maintain proper housekeeping and safety standards within the production area.

·         Handle urgent production orders and ensure timely completion.

Requirements

Education

·         Diploma in Printing Technology.

Experience

·         Minimum of 3 years' experience in ink and chemical production.

·         Experience in ink production and color matching is highly preferred.

Core Competencies

·         Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.

·         Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.

·         Good teamwork and communication skills.

·         Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental requirements in a manufacturing environment.

·         Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
