Coke Florida is searching for a Senior Manager, Reliability & Engineering Programs to work out of our Tampa HQ area office working Monday – Friday with occasional nights and weekends. 

 

What You Will Do:

As the Senior Manager, Engineering Programs, you will serve as the enterprise leader responsible for advancing Coke Florida’s reliability strategy, maintenance excellence programs, engineering program governance and automation initiatives across the manufacturing and distribution networks.  

 

This role establishes and drives a best-in-class reliability-centered culture focused on maximizing asset availability, improving equipment performance, reducing total maintenance costs and enhancing operational efficiency/ This position will provide strategy leadership for reliability engineering, maintenance systems, asset management, automation deployment and continuous improvement and engineering capital programs. 

 

As a key member of the Supply Chain and Engineering leadership team, this role partners closely with Manufacturing, Distribution, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, and external partners to develop long-term asset strategies, driver modernization efforts and execute transformational initiatives that improve safety quality, productivity and service. 

 

Roles and Responsibilities: 

 

  • Develop and execute Coke Florida’s enterprise reliability strategy, ensuring alignment with operational objectives, business priorities and long-term asset management goals. 
  • Lead the organization’s transition from reactive maintenance practices to a reliability-centered maintenance culture with a focus on preventative and predictive maintenance 
  • Lead mentor and develop engineering, reliability, and technical professionals 
  • Serve as a change leader during transformation and omdernization 
  • Establish reliability standards, maintenance governance processes and key performance indicators (KPIs) across all facilities 
  • Drive year-over-year improvements in 
    • Equipment uptime 
    • Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) 
    • Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) 
    • Preventative maintenance compliance 
    • Maintenance cost efficiency  
    • Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) 
  • Lead enterprise Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) initiatives and implement corrective actions to eliminate recurring failures 
  • Partner with plant and distribution leadership to improve asset reliability, operational consistency and equipment lifecycle performance 
  • Lead initiatives that improve maintenance productivity and optimize maintenance labor utilizations 
  • Establish best practices: 
    • Preventative Maintenance (PM) 
    • Predictive Maintenance (PdM) 
    • Spare parts management 
    • Equipment criticality analysis 
    • Asset lifecycle planning 
  • Develop and enforce maintenance standards enterprise wide that will improve equipment reliability and operational performance 
  • Lead the portfolio of engineering, automation and infrastructure programs supporting the manufacturing and distribution operations 
  • Develop and maintain governance processes for engineering programs including, but not limited to: 
    • Scope Management 
    • Risk Management 
    • Financial controls 
    • Resource planning 
    • Stage-gate reviews 
    • Benefits realization 
  • Oversee the successful planning and execution of capital projects from concept through startup, stabilization and handoff. 
  • Provide strategic leadership for automation and Industry 4.0 initiatives across the network 
  • Support implementation and optimization of: 
    • Automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS) 
    • Robotics 
    • Automation case-picking systems 
    • Done-enabled inventory systems 
  • Serve as the technical expertise enterprise wide for reliability, maintenance and automation initiatives 
  • Drive lean, Total Product Management (TPM) Six Siga and Operational Excellence methodologies  
  • Manage contracts, Statements of Work (SOWs) Master Service Agreements (MSAs), warranties and vendor performance metrics 
  • Develop and manage engineering program budgets, and maintenance initiatives 
  • Monitor and report on project ROI, maintenance spending and asset utilization 

 

Education and Skills Required: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electric, Industrial, Automation, Manufacturing or related discipline) required. 
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within manufacturing, distribution, engineering, reliability, maintenance or operations environments  
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing enterprise reliability and maintenance programs 
  • Experience leading multi-site engineering, reliability or maintenance initiative 
  • Proven experience managing engineering portfolios and projects in excess of $1+M 
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams within complex manufacturing or supply chain environments   
  • Advanced knowledge of: 
    • Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) 
    • Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) 
    • Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) 
    • Preventative and Predictive Maintenance 
    • Asset Lifecycle management 
    • Six Sigma Methodologies  
  • Experience with: 
    • SAP PM 
    • Promapp 
    • Project Management Software 
    • Controls and PLCs (Preferable Allen Bradley) systems 

 

Additional education and skills that will strengthen your candidacy:

 

  • Project Management Certification, such as PMP 
  • Lean Six Sigma Green, Black or Master Black Belt 
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP)_ 
  • Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) 
  • Experience working in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) Beverage, Food Manufacturing or Distribution operations 
  • Experience with Allen-Bradely PLCs, ControlLogix, HNI systems and industrial automation platforms 
  • Experience managing P&L, maintenance budgets and capital investment programs
