Paws Bay Animal Hospital is a new privately owned hospital opening March 31, 2025. It is owned and operated by Dr. Heather Highbrown. The purpose of this position is to serve as a Veterinary Assistant at Paws Bay Animal Hospital. The Veterinary Assistant will help the technicians, doctors, and receptionists in all duties of the hospital.

Job tasks include but are not limited to:
- Upkeep the cleanliness of the hospital, patient wards, cages, and runs
- responsible for the daily care of our patients, including walking, feeding, and recording of animal weight, appetite, and other information as directed
- assist the doctors and technicians with restraint and other responsibilities according to individual abilities and training.  
- all staff will assist with receptionist tasks including answering phones, follow-up with clients, checking out clients, etc
 

Position type and expected hours of work:  

· Initially this will be a part time position as we will be open Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Additional days will be added as we become busier.  
- we are also accepting applications for 1-2 shifts per week 

· Shifts are 8:30 am – 6 pm with 1 hour lunch  

· We will be closed major holidays  

Education and Experience:  

Highschool diploma preferred
