Job description
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible to handle daily operations of the warehouse; this includes production, inventory control, freight, shipping and receiving. The Warehouse Supervisor must maintain high levels of accuracy in day-to-day operations as well as to lead and develop the warehouse team members to provide impeccable customer service. This role must support front office and production teams as required to ensure functionality, comfort, safety and efficiency of the work environment, maintaining the building and services operating on the proper and suitable conditions to work and meet the needs of the team members. Working hours 7am to 4pm Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
1. You will hire, train, direct and mentor one hourly warehouse associate and temps as needed. You will oversee daily operations to ensure that all incoming and outgoing material is processed according to schedule.
2. Manage productivity, cost, or other performance metric expectations for assigned shift.
3. Drive strategic initiatives focused on continuous improvement, increased productivity, and cost savings and monitor workplace performance
4. Prepare schedules for warehouse associates based on the orders received from the customer
5. Assist office and production team on daily operations to download, print and prepare customer shipments to avoid missing any customer window time; Provide customer support for any expedited request
6. Respond to any quality problem report from the customer identifying root cause and providing corrective action
7. Establish warehouse policies and procedures to ensure efficient warehouse operations
8. Set warehouse and team goals in collaboration with the sales team and office support staff
9. Complete daily inspections and communicate (Drafting reports and making written recommendations) directly to the Office Manager to ensure that the business is running smoothly every day. (Security, parking, cleaning, technology and so on).
10. Project future requirements for new business and work closely with the front office team to determine the best upgrade paths for equipment and infrastructure
11. Plan for any necessary replacements and repairs, scheduling necessary maintenance and management tasks during the times that are least likely to disrupt production and team members (including Forklift, printers, scanners, alarms); Lead preventative and scheduled maintenance programs
12. Ensure the warehouse meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards.
13. Operate as well in the capacity of a warehouse associate, picking and pulling orders and preparing items for shipment.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
路 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse environment
路 2 years of experience managing a team
路 Forklift certification (preferred)
路 Experience with production planning and leading strong inventory control processes;
路 Leadership skills and ability to manage a team;
路 Excellent customer service skills;
路 Problem solving and analytical talent;
路 Excellent oral/written communication;
路 Detailed Oriented and very organized;
路 Ability to work and stand long hours, bend, twist, turn, push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs;
