Metrology Technician

Location: Tampa, FL (On-site)

What you will do

  • Perform scheduled calibrations and minor adjustments on instruments used in production, utilities, and labs.
  • Document calibration results using certified standards and software, ensuring compliance with GMP and GDP principles.
  • Troubleshoot instrument issues and support deviation investigations.
  • Maintain accurate records for audits and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with vendors and supervise contracted calibration services.
  • Assist in updating SOPs and maintenance plans to improve reliability and efficiency.
  • Follow all safety and environmental protocols while performing calibration tasks.

What we are looking for

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training or trade school or related internship preferred.
  • 0–2 years of experience in calibration or maintenance; pharma/GMP experience is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of calibration principles and traceability requirements.
  • Ability to work with tools and test equipment and perform troubleshooting under supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy.
  • Ability to work in manufacturing environments requiring PPE and occasional weekend or after-hours support.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and access elevated platforms or confined spaces as needed.
