Counter Salesperson

Description

The counter sales position handles both sales and customer service. A counter salesperson communicates daily with customers, inside sales, and our warehouse to make sure that orders are filled in a timely manner. Duties for this position include:

• Entry of customer orders into our order processing system
• Providing excellent customer service
• Picking orders taken at the counter or by inside sales for will call
• Tracking open orders stored at will call
• Stocking shelves
• Always expanding product knowledge to better assist customers

Requirements

• Good communication skills
• Ability to maintain professional conduct and interact effectively with all employees and customers
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, other language skills are a plus
• Regular and timely attendance to ensure desired service level to all customers, internal and external
• High School diploma required

Preferred:

• Experience in the PVF, Plumbing, or Construction fields
