Credentialed Veterinary Technician

Tampa, Florida

Animal Doctors of South Tampa are actively looking for an experienced veterinary technician. The ideal candidate will be confident working with the veterinarians and technicians, comfortable in rooming patients, assisting in surgery, surgery recovery, have experience with proper animal handling and restraint, have knowledge of x-ray and positioning, drawing blood and running bloodwork, able to use laboratory equipment, understands the importance of client education, is a positive and supportive team player, and strives to continue to increase their knowledge in the veterinary industry and able to remain calm in a high-stress environment.

Requirements:

  • Certification Required

  • Ability to work rotating Saturdays

  • 2+ years of experience working as a Veterinary Technician

  • Knowledge of standard industry tools and equipment

  • Understanding of animal behavior and healthcare

  • Experience with proper animal handling and restraint

  • Passion for working with animals and their owners

  • Ability to multi-task efficiently

  • Ability to work well under pressure

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Positive and supportive team player
