Prairie Band Health Service is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide exceptional healthcare services at Taos Picuris Service Unit located in Taos, New Mexico 87571

Details:

• Monday through Friday
• Experience treating both adult and pediatric patients required

Duties:

• Conducting patient assessments, diagnosing conditions, and developing treatment plans 
• Providing education to patients, families, and the broader community on health and wellness 
• Coordinating referrals to specialty care and ensuring follow-up 
• Maintaining accurate and timely medical documentation 
• Ordering and interpreting lab and diagnostic tests
• Prescribing medications following IHS formulary guidelines 
• Supporting quality improvement efforts and adherence to safety protocols

Requirements

• Shall be certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners 
• Possess a current, unrestricted state medical license from any of the 50 states or Puerto Rico
• 3 years of experience in diagnosis and treatment of a broad range of adult and pediatric conditions.
• Current Basic Life Support or Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
• DEA
• Maintain continuing education/ certification. 
• Must be a U.S. citizen living primarily within the United States.
• Must be willing and able to complete and pass the federal security clearance process.
