Machine Operator-- 2nd and 3rd Shift

Tasks (brief description of the tasks the applicant will be responsible for)

Setup and maintain equipment.  Operate assigned equipment.  Maintain a clean work environment throughout shift. Accurately complete all necessary production documentation where applicable. Know basic operations of assigned equipment basic trouble solving techniques. Perform additional tasks as needed to include, but not limited to cross training on other machines and/or in other areas.

Requirements (minimum requirements to be considered for the job)

Must have 3.0 attendance occurrences or less, no more than 1 active disciplinary action, and must have been in current position for at least 6 months.

Understand and follow verbal and written instructions.

Practice good safety habits and have a good safety record.

Practice good manufacturing practices (GMPs).

Have and maintain good attendance.

Practice good housekeeping at all times.

Must be able to work with support groups to make sure lines are ready to start on time and minimized downtime.

Must know product specifications and how to maintain correct specifications and lines speeds.

Must be willing to follow oral and written instructions.

Must be willing to be flexible.

Organization and written skills.

General knowledge of computers.

Must be willing to lift up to 50 lbs.

Must be willing to work 8-12 hour shifts - standing.

Must be willing to work in a production environment requiring safety glasses, hair/beard net, hearing protection, and rubber boots with safety toe. All PPE is provided by Sara Lee Frozen Bakery.

Must be willing to withstand cold and hot environments

Must sweep and clean area during and after shift.

Perform additional tasks as needed to include, but not limited to cross training in other areas.
