The role you’ll contribute:
Responsible for providing direct patient care by assisting the physician during cardiac, vascular, and electrophysiological invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures. This position ensures the safe operation of all equipment used in the EP labs. Additionally, this role applies expanded knowledge of medical/clinical practices and relevant healthcare procedures. In addition, this position impacts the quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Works under moderate supervision on standard medical/clinical procedures and practices.

 Assists in departmental performance improvement activities including collecting and documenting quality improvement initiatives.Â
Participates in daily workflow in the Special Procedure department with patient flow during peak periods to expedite procedures efficiently.
Communicates with the physician and other staff members about patient condition as needed.
Performs procedural documentation for all procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab in a timely manner using the electronic medical record.
Maintains department inventory and ensures that the department is adequately equipped, keeping supplies organized.
Performs imaging procedures/treatments according to cardiac catheterization lab practice standards to aid in diagnosis and/or treatment of disease.
Assesses the procedure room for equipment functioning and readiness.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
• Associate Required.
• 1+ year clinical experience in an electrophysiology lab Required.
• Registered Nurse (RN) Required.
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) Required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) Required.
