Meet all operational standards related to the Engineering Department.
ï‚· Conduct walk-throughs and visually assess the safe and efficient maintenance and
operation of the hotel structure, systems and equipment.
ï‚· Establish and maintain Rooms and Public Area Preventive Maintenance Program and
consistently keep updated records.
ï‚· Act in concert with hotel management team and property General Manager.
ï‚· Hire, train, supervise, coach and counsel associates, including managers.
ï‚· Ensure grounds are maintained to create superior curb appeal.
 Implement hotel’s safety and emergency policies and procedures (ie evacuations, first
aid, etc) to including removing all safety hazards, following company’s OSHA Hazcom
program and safe lifting techniques.
ï‚· Provide adequate inventory of parts, supplies, tools and materials for the department.
Establish and maintain an efficient inventory and purchasing system.
ï‚· Maintain current permits and licenses for building and physical plant.
ï‚· Work and coordinate all activities, as needed, with 3rd party vendors, particularly those
needed for physical plant and maintenance functions.
ï‚· Perform other duties as assigned, including those needed to participate in overall
leadership of the hotel.
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:
ï‚· Previous hotel engineering experience required, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing,
commercial kitchen and general building construction
 Vocational training, associate’s degree, certification and/or apprenticeship in one or more
area; state certification or licensure where required
ï‚· Must be able to read and interpret drawings, diagrams and blue prints. Read and
understand test equipment and measuring devices
ï‚· Strong business communication skills verbal and written
ï‚· Strong presentation skills and ability to train hourly staff members
ï‚· High work ethic and self-initiative
ï‚· Strong computer skills in Microsoft Suite
ï‚· Some travel may be required
ï‚· Regular attendance according to established guidelines
ï‚· May be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property
ï‚· Must possess basic computational ability
ï‚· Focus and maintain attention to multiple tasks and priorities, and complete work
assignments on time despite frequent interruptions, including in high pressure situations
ï‚· Ability to maintain excellent relationships with staff and maintain staff and guest
confidentiality at all times
ï‚· Ability to converse calmly with upset associates, superiors and guests in intense
emotional situations
ï‚· Ability to participate in, and lead departmental and/or hotel team meetings
ï‚· Understanding and adherence to Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) documents, as well
as hotel safety procedures

Qualifications
  • Physical Requirements (In-Office Role) Salary $70 - $77 year
  • Ability to work in a standard office environment.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. (6-8 hours a day)
  • Occasional standing and walking throughout the workday.
  • Frequent fine motor skills, use of hands and fingers for keyboarding/typing, utilizing a mouse or trackpad, writing, and operating office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, reach, or carry items.
  • Ability to lift and/or move 10–25 pounds as needed (e.g., files, office supplies).
  • Visual ability to read from a computer screen and printed materials including close visual focus for extended periods and color differentiation (for certain roles).
  • Ability to hear and participate in conversations and meetings, use phone and/or headset
