Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Site Patrol in Tarrytown, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while helping maintain a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. Pay Rate: $26.88 - $27.88 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers at a healthcare and pharmaceutical location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, laboratories, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify visitor and contractor credentials, maintain required logs, and report access concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and notification protocols.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately; communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Hold CPR certification, preferred.
• Have access control and badge experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
