Position Summary:
The Starbucks Manager is responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of the store, ensuring "Service Excellence" is consistently provided to all customers, quality store operations are maintained, store associates are trained, and the store is led in a positive manner.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the training and supervision of the Starbucks team, ensuring all Baristas are "Barista 100" certified within 3 weeks of being hired, and there are always a minimum of 2 "Barista 300" certified employees on shift.
  • Responsible for meeting all budgeted goals, to include but not limited to payroll and total store operational costs.
  • Expected to work shifts to ensure standards are adhered to, helping fill a Barista position to include at least 1 AM shift, 1 PM shift and 1 mid shift.
  • Required to meet and exceed all Starbucks standards for store operation.
  • Responsible for making sure the store and storerooms meet and exceed Remington and local health department standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Write performance reviews and conduct disciplinary action, when warranted.
  • Participate in monthly department meetings, property MOD program and weekly staff meetings.
  • Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, maintaining positive guest relations at all times.
  • Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction in each interaction.
  • Learn, understand and refer to the applicable Starbucks Franchise and Remington's Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Work in a cooperative and friendly manner with fellow associates.
  • Practice a culture of guest service in all you do; promote courtesy, good will and a positive attitude in each and every encounter.
  • Perform any reasonable request as assigned or directed by management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:

  • Strong communication skills verbal and written 
  • High work ethic and self-initiative 
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Suite 
  • Regular attendance according to established guidelines
  • May be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property
  • Must possess basic computational ability, in order to accurately produce required reports
  • Focus and maintain attention to multiple tasks in a short time period, and complete work assignments within deadline demands, despite frequent interruptions
  • Ability to maintain excellent relationships with staff and maintain staff and guest confidentiality at all times

Qualifications

Physical Requirements: $Salary 55k - 62k

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Lift approximately forty (40) pounds
  • Grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, pulling, pushing, listening and hearing ability and visual ability
  • Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment such as computers, ten-key calculator, printers, multi-line tone tone phone, filing cabinets, photocopiers and other office equipment as needed
  • Physical Requirements (In-Office Role)
  • Ability to work in a standard office environment.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. (6-8 hours a day)
  • Occasional standing and walking throughout the workday.
  • Frequent fine motor skills, use of hands and fingers for keyboarding/typing, utilizing a mouse or trackpad, writing, and operating office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, reach, or carry items.
  • Ability to lift and/or move 10–25 pounds as needed (e.g., files, office supplies).
  • Visual ability to read from a computer screen and printed materials including close visual focus for extended periods and color differentiation (for certain roles).
  • Ability to hear and participate in conversations and meetings, use phone and/or headset
