About Our Hospital

Hudson Vets Tarrytown is a brand-new small animal general practice opening in early 2027 in downtown Tarrytown, New York. The hospital has been intentionally designed to grow from a single-doctor practice into a thriving multi-doctor hospital, built around a collaborative, Fear Free, gold-standard model of care led by Medical Director Dr. Julia Chiverton.

Mission & Culture

Our mission is to cultivate a warm, joyful, and supportive environment for clients and staff while practicing exceptional medicine and building lifelong relationships with pets, families, and our community. We prioritize respect, collaboration, psychological safety, work-life balance, mentorship, and continuous learning. Birthdays, appreciation weeks, team dinners, and regular staff gatherings are all part of creating a workplace people genuinely enjoy.

Meet the Medical Director

Dr. Julia Chiverton graduated from Ross University in 2010 and completed her clinical year of veterinary school at the University of Pennsylvania, followed by a medicine and surgical internship at the Animal Medical Center in NYC. The hospital features five exam rooms, separate dog and cat wards, isolation, a dedicated treatment area, a modern surgical suite, a fully equipped dental station, shared doctor workspace, staff lounge, lockers, and dedicated staff parking. Equipment includes digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, IDEXX diagnostics, advanced anesthesia monitoring, AI scribe technology, and a fully digital workflow.

Medicine

The hospital practices progressive, gold-standard medicine while maintaining flexibility for client circumstances, with Fear Free principles integrated into patient care. Scheduling & Support

The log term goal is to schedule the Practice Manger 9-5pm on weekdays (M-F) with no weekends, but starting out, the hours may be flexible to mimic our opening schedule.
