Are you studying Education, Psychology, Child Development, Social Work, Recreation, or a related field? This is the perfect opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with elementary-aged children in a structured afterschool program while developing skills that future employers and graduate programs value.

As an Activities Assistant, you'll work alongside experienced educators while gaining real-world experience in:

Classroom & behavior management
Child engagement
Lesson support
Leadership & communication
Time management
Teamwork

Schedule

Monday–Friday | 2:00–6:00 PM
Follows the Tarrytown & Irvington school calendars
Approximately 180 days per school year
Paid orientation, required training, and scheduled early dismissal days

What You'll Do

Support fun enrichment classes including Sports, Art, STEAM, Music & Movement, Potpourri, and Homework.
Assist with classroom management and student engagement.
Set up and clean up activities.
Serve snack and prepare materials.
Help create a safe, positive, and welcoming environment.
Work alongside a supportive team to deliver an exceptional afterschool experience.
