Are you energetic, organized, and passionate about working with children? Join the Almost Home team as a Program Assistant and play a key role in creating a safe, fun, and welcoming afterschool experience for elementary-aged students.

Every afternoon is different! You'll help welcome children as they arrive, supervise transitions between activities, support daily operations, and ensure our program runs safely and smoothly.

Schedule

Monday–Friday | 2:00–6:00 PM
Follows the Tarrytown & Irvington school calendars
Approximately 180 days per school year
Paid orientation, required training, and scheduled early dismissal days

What You'll Do

Welcome children as they arrive from school buses.
Supervise safe transitions between activities.
Escort children throughout the building as needed.
Assist with curbside dismissal and safe pick-up procedures.
Prepare and distribute snack.
Stock supplies and help keep program spaces organized.
Support special events and daily program operations.
Provide active supervision while creating a positive, inclusive environment for all children.
