First Shift 7:30 am to 3:30 pm
Pay Range: $24.65 per hour to $29.36 per hour
Position Description: Prepare samples for testing.
· Perform electrical, mechanical, and environmental tests to commercial and military standards.
· Execute time management for concurrent tests.
· Create reports to reflect test results.
· Enter results/time events in SAP.
· Responsible for performing or coordinating all incoming inspection and records, perform incoming and final acceptance of all products.
Process incoming RMA’s
· Assist production in “first piece” inspection and evaluation of new product when necessary.
· Liaison with customer and Government Source Inspectors when necessary.
· Maintains working area in a safe and orderly condition at all times.
· Develop NCM’s for Raw Materials and purchased components that have discrepancies believed to be caused by our vendors. Assist purchasing and materials groups with any problems relating to purchased materials.
· Liaison with UL and CSA Inspectors
Education:
· Associate of Science in related technical field and/or equivalent industry experience
· Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English.
Experience:
· Some manufacturing lab experience preferred.
· 7–10-year experience working in related field
· Hands on knowledge of test & measurement system functionality
Skills/Attributes:
· Read and interpret internal product specifications from Engineering and Purchasing
· Perform mathematical and other necessary calculations using calculator or computer as most appropriate.
· Develop work habits and job knowledge to be performed with a minimum of supervision.
· Must be able to work independently according to verbal and written instructions
· Must be proficient in computer skills
· Must have above average math and reasoning skills
· Must develop and maintain proficiency in required job skills
· Must be capable of lifting or moving 50 lbs. and occasionally lifting or moving 75 lbs.
