We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Leave, Accommodation & Workers' Compensation Specialist to serve as the organization's subject matter expert for leave administration, ADA accommodations, and workers' compensation programs. In this role, you will oversee complex and escalated cases, ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, analyze program effectiveness, and partner with leaders across the organization to improve employee outcomes and mitigate risk.
The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in absence management, workers' compensation, compliance, reporting and analytics, and enjoys using data to identify trends, drive improvements, and support strategic decision-making. This hybrid position works 3 days in our East Taunton, MA Corporate Office and 2 days from home.Â

What You'll Do
Leave Administration & ADA Compliance
- Oversee administration of all leave of absence programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company requirements.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for complex leave cases and escalated employee situations.
- Lead the ADA interactive process for complex accommodation requests and provide guidance on appropriate workplace accommodations.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory changes impacting leave administration and ADA compliance and recommend policy and process enhancements.
Workers' Compensation Management
- Manage complex, high-risk, litigated, and escalated workers' compensation claims through resolution.
- Partner closely with the Safety Manager on injury management, return-to-work efforts, workplace safety initiatives, and claim reduction strategies.
- Serve as the primary liaison between HR, safety leadership, insurance carriers, legal counsel, and third-party administrators as needed.
- Prepare and present workers' compensation metrics, claim trends, and significant case updates to senior leadership and safety committees.
Program Management & Analytics
- Partner with absence management vendors to resolve escalated issues, ensure service quality, and improve program effectiveness.
- Develop, maintain, and analyze leave, accommodation, and workers' compensation reports, dashboards, and program metrics.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through data analysis and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, employee communications, and training materials related to leave, accommodations, and workers' compensation programs.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to HR team members and managers on leave administration, ADA compliance, and workers' compensation matters.
What We're Looking For
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Experience & Qualifications
- 5-7+ years of progressive experience administering leave of absence programs, ADA accommodations, and workers' compensation claims.
- Advanced knowledge of FMLA, ADA, state leave laws, workers' compensation administration, return-to-work programs, and wage replacement benefits.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, litigated, and high-risk workers' compensation claims.
- Strong analytical capabilities with advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, reporting, and data analysis.
- Experience extracting, validating, analyzing, and interpreting data from HRIS, leave management, and workers' compensation systems.
- Proven ability to create meaningful metrics, executive-level dashboards, and presentations that translate complex data into actionable business recommendations.
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence outcomes, manage competing priorities, and drive continuous process improvement.
 Salary Range: $81,600 - 102,000/ annually. We share our pay range because transparency matters. This reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role based on experience and performance.
