Position Overview

Lead Transportation Operations for One of America's Most Respected Manufacturers

Shaw Industries, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to lead our transportation team in Taunton, MA. In this role, you'll oversee daily transportation operations, support and develop drivers, ensure DOT compliance, and help drive a culture centered on safety, service, and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and support a team of drivers and transportation associates
  • Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient transportation operations
  • Monitor delivery performance, routing, scheduling, and service metrics
  • Coach, train, and develop employees to achieve safety and operational goals
  • Partner with operations, warehouse, and customer teams to ensure exceptional service
  • Drive accountability around DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards
  • Investigate and resolve operational issues while promoting continuous improvement
  • Review transportation metrics and identify opportunities to improve performance, efficiency, and cost management
  • Foster a positive team culture focused on engagement, teamwork, and results

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree and 1+ years of supervisory experience, OR High School Diploma/GED and 2+ years of supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated success supervising employees and managing day-to-day operations
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, transportation compliance, and safety practices
  • Ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Transportation, logistics, fleet, or distribution leadership experience
  • Experience with transportation management systems (TMS), routing, or fleet software
  • Experience managing performance metrics, driver productivity, and service levels
