Wind River Environmental is seeking a dependable, process-focused Plant Operator II to join our wastewater treatment operations team in Taunton, MA.
This is an opportunity for someone who takes pride in operating complex systems safely, efficiently, and in compliance with environmental regulations. Every day, our operators play a direct role in protecting public health and the environment by ensuring wastewater is treated properly and discharged in accordance with regulatory requirements.
We are looking for a professional who is self-motivated, mechanically inclined, and able to work independently while maintaining high standards of safety, documentation, and process control.
This is a Third SHIFT position.

What You'll Do
- As a Plant Operator II, you will be trusted to operate and monitor critical treatment processes with minimal supervision. Responsibilities include:
- Operating wastewater, sludge, and FOG treatment systemsÂ
- Monitoring plant performance and adjusting processes as needed
- Performing routine laboratory testing including TSS, COD, pH, and related analysesÂ
- Maintaining accurate operational logs and compliance documentationÂ
- Monitoring pumps, valves, blowers, instrumentation, and other treatment equipmentÂ
- Identifying potential equipment or process issues before they become operational problemsÂ
- Performing minor maintenance, troubleshooting, and process adjustmentsÂ
- Ordering chemicals and completing monthly operational reportingÂ
- Ensuring plant operations remain compliant with all federal, state, and local requirements

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $25.00.00 - $27.00 hourly at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of wastewater treatment plant experienceÂ
- Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator certification is preferred but not requiredÂ
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of pumps, valves, blowers, hydraulics, and process equipment • Ability to perform laboratory testing and maintain operational records • Valid driver's licenseÂ
- Ability to pass a drug screen and physical examination • Basic computer proficiency (Word, Excel)
