About the Role
The Receiving and Staging Supervisor leads Sunday Cool's warehouse receiving and staging operations — making sure every incoming shipment (Front Door goods, bulk Warehouse II transfers, and UPS/FedEx packages) is accurately inspected, verified against purchase orders, and properly recorded in inventory. You'll supervise the staging team and Warehouse Coordinator, keep quality control and safety sharp, and serve as the go-to link between Purchasing, Finance, Pre-Press, Production, and Shipping so goods keep moving and production stays on schedule — especially during our May–July peak season.
What You'll Do
- Oversee day-to-day receiving operations — unloading trucks, inspecting shipments, and managing paperwork for Front Door, bulk Warehouse II, and UPS/FedEx shipments.
- Verify incoming goods against purchase orders in Salesforce, checking quantity, condition, and specs before goods move into inventory.
- Resolve shortages, overages, damage, or quality issues quickly, and coordinate returns with Purchasing when Front Door goods don't meet our standards.
- Review the Monday staging schedule to confirm accurate labeling and status of Front Door and Hybrid shipments, and compile the day's PO list to support staging.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date inventory records — SKU tracking, quantities, and allocation of stock for partial orders when the Warehouse Coordinator is out.
- Review receiving reports, packing slips, and other required paperwork for accuracy before goods move to staging.
- Supervise and train the staging team and Warehouse Coordinator, reinforcing safety protocols and careful equipment and product handling.
- Partner with Purchasing, Finance, Pre-Press, Production, and Shipping to flag discrepancies, report damage, and keep materials flowing across the facility.
- Enforce safety and regulatory compliance, and keep receiving equipment — forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyors — properly maintained.
- Track staging KPIs and prepare regular reports on inventory levels and notable issues for leadership.
What You'll Bring
- 2+ years of supervisory experience in a warehouse, receiving, distribution, or inventory role.
- Hands-on experience with receiving, inventory management, or order fulfillment — apparel, print, or promotional products experience is a big plus.
- Comfort working in Salesforce (or a similar ERP/order management system) to verify POs and track inventory.
- Experience operating or supervising the use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment; forklift certification is a plus.
- Sharp attention to detail — you catch a mislabeled SKU or a mis-picked garment before it becomes a bigger problem.
- A clear, proactive communicator who can coordinate across multiple departments
- A natural leader who trains well, leads by example, and keeps the team motivated through high-volume peak season.
- Ability to stand, lift up to 50 lbs, and move throughout the warehouse for a full shift.
