Position Overview

We are seeking an ambitious and results-driven Business Development & Sales Representative to join our growing team at Industrial Applied Technologies, based out of their head office in Taylor, MI. This role is ideal for a proactive individual who thrives on building relationships, identifying new opportunities, and driving revenue growth within the construction and contracting sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the construction, contracting, and development markets.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, general contractors, developers, and key industry partners.

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve company growth objectives.

  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and bids.

  • Work closely with internal teams (estimating, project management, and operations) to ensure client satisfaction and successful project delivery.

  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.

  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote the company’s services.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Valid Driver's License

  • Frequent travel to existing and new client locations across Michigan as needed.

  • 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management — ideally within the construction, facilities maintenance, and/or industrial cleaning industry.

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Strong understanding of construction processes, bid procedures, and client relationship management.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management abilities.

  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
