Position Summary
In your role as a GCS Chemical Engineer, you'll work with a talented team focused on comprehensively owning, maintaining, and improving specialty slurry operations at SAS.You'll provide support by interacting with the on-site operations/maintenance team for daily optimization and improvement in the slurry equipment.
Role and Responsibilities
Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:
Providing technical expertise and ownership for chemical and slurry systems, safety and quality standards, and improvements for those systems.
Interacting with operations teams, maintenance teams, construction teams, and equipment vendors to sustain and maintain equipment
Troubleshooting emergent equipment issues and provide technical direction to resolve.
Working with maintenance teams to plan and execute non-standard equipment maintenance to address failures or equipment improvements
Communicating and coordinating with Fab Engineering groups to provide technical support, supply issue resolution, and collaboration for improved safety, quality, and system reliability
Performing new equipment startup, and commissioning new equipment installations
Driving continuous improvement projects to improve quality, productivity, and safety, while also reducing cost.
Evaluating future scenario planning including infrastructure budget and schedule forecasting, utilization and capacity data analysis, and reporting
Implementing standardization methods across equipment fleet (work processes, alarm management, 6s principles)
Optimizing PM (preventative maintenance) strategies for aging assets to minimize risk of unexpected failures
Improving process control and monitoring methods to ensure a robust proactive approach to sustaining large equipment sets
Skills and Qualifications
Here's what you'll need:
BS degree in Mechanical or Chemical engineering, or related technical field.
Minimum of 5 year’s direct operations experience related to gas and/or chemical supply systems. Semiconductor or electronics facility support preferred, with an emphasis on safety and hazardous process materials.

The current base salary range for this role is between $81,490 and $179,090 Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
