MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:


The Trust Officer is responsible for the day-to-day administration and management of assigned fiduciary accounts, including trusts, estates, agencies, and related relationships. The position requires a working knowledge of trust administration, fiduciary principles, investment oversight, regulatory compliance, and client relationship management. The position also requires participation in fiduciary account reviews, trust business development activities, and collaborative decision-making related to account administration and investment oversight.


SPECIFIC DUTIES:


  • Administer trust, estate, agency, and fiduciary accounts in accordance with governing documents, bank policy, and applicable regulations. 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, beneficiaries, attorneys, accountants, financial advisors, and centers of influence. 
  • Participate in client meetings, account reviews, and fiduciary decision-making processes. 
  • Monitor account activity and ensure the proper administration of assigned fiduciary relationships. 
  • Assist with trust account documentation, estate settlement activities, and fiduciary recordkeeping. 
  • Work with investment personnel and consultants to review portfolio performance and ensure investment objectives are being appropriately addressed. 
  • Maintain awareness of fiduciary, tax, regulatory, and banking developments affecting trust account administration. 
  • Support trust business development efforts through referrals, community involvement, and professional networking. 
  • Ensure compliance with applicable policies, fiduciary standards, BSA/AML requirements, and regulatory expectations. 
  • Assume increasing responsibility for trust administration, client relationship management, investment review participation, and business development over time.
