Description

The Safety Coordinator supports the implementation and monitoring of the organization's safety programs. This role is responsible for conducting basic safety audits, providing safety training, and assisting in the development of safety policies and procedures. The Safety Coordinator works closely with employees to ensure adherence to safety protocols and helps to identify and address potential hazards.

  • Assist manager and coordinators with larger projects and investigations 
  • Maintain and update written EHS programs (minor revisions, annual reviews) 
  • Gather data, pull reports, and prep documentation for audits and submissions 
  • Track corrective actions and follow up on open items 
  • Serve as liaison between EHS team and other departments (HR, facilities, ops) 
  • Manage contractor safety onboarding and documentation 
  • Maintain recordkeeping systems (OSHA log, training records, inspection logs) 
  • Coordinate scheduling for drills, training sessions, and inspections 
  • Order and track PPE inventory 
  • Focus on daily, routine administrative and safety program elements 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (preferably in environmental health and safety) 
  • Entry-level position
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, but not required 
  • Knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards as applicable to manufacturing 
  • Ability to train, motivate, and influence team members
