Job Details:
Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson Foods will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 90 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
Pay range:Â $24.00 - $33.65 (depending on experience) + $1.50 attendance bonusÂ
2nd Shift Differential $1.50/hrÂ
3rd Shift differential $5.00/hr  Â
Hours: Monday through Friday, occasional overtime and weekend workÂ
1st Shift 6:00 am – 2:30 pmÂ
2nd shift: 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm Â
3rd shift: 10:00 pm – 6:30 am Â

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for operating rolling stock, and general building equipment maintenance inclusive of snow removal in the winter, and acting as back-up to the waste water treatment, positions as needed.Â

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:Â
General repair and maintenance of building, forklifts, pallet jacks, company vehicles, and all other equipment or buildings owned by the companyÂ
Maintain company grounds inclusive of snow/ice removal, lawn workÂ
Maintenance and safe operation of all company rolling stock;Â
Repair and replacement of facility light bulbs may be requiredÂ
Repair of facility plumbing needs as requiredÂ
Back-up Waste Water Treatment Plant operatorÂ
Back up Sanitation Operator sweeping designated areasÂ
Trash removal from the facilityÂ
Maintain the cleanliness of the truck sheds, loafing shed, and maintenance shopÂ
Maintain the bone yard for cleanlinessÂ
Assist with roof repairs and clean-upÂ
All other essential duties as directed by the shift maintenance supervisors/leadÂ

QUALIFICATIONS:Â
Ability to carry out essential duties and responsibilities efficiently, within safety guidelinesÂ
Ability to operate all rolling stock efficiently, within safety guidelinesÂ
Ability to efficiently use hand tools and trades type tools, to provide maintenance of facility as requiredÂ
Some mechanical background requiredÂ
Some knowledge of vehicle maintenance including preventative and scheduled maintenance.Â
Basic plumbing skillsÂ
General knowledge of light fixturesÂ
Valid driver’s licenseÂ
Be able to obtain an operator’s license for forklift, skid loader, and pallets jack  Â
Willingness to work overtime and be called into work for emergency situations as requiredÂ
 Â
Education and/or Experience:Â
High school diploma or equivalent preferredÂ
Associates degree or equivalent in mechanical trade preferredÂ
 Â
Communication Skills:Â
Must be able to communicate within the department and understand directionsÂ
Must be able to read, write and in order to maintain records and communicate wellÂ
 Â
Physical Requirements / Environment:Â Â Â
Stand/Walk: Continuously (at least 8 hours a day)Â
Occasionally (1-3 hours a day); bend/stoop, squat, crawl, climb, reach above shoulder, crouch, kneel, push/pullÂ
Lift/Carry:Â Frequently (1-10Â lbs), Occasionally (up to 35-50 lbs.) Rarely (over 50 lbs. with assistance)Â
Continuously working around moving machinery, both inside and out with changes in temperature and humidity, exposure to dust and fumes, occasionally working on a ladder at unprotected heights, around and amongst dead birds and a strong chicken odorÂ

Requirements: 6 month work history or participant of any industrial maintenance educational program. maintenance experience preferred. Â
