R. Joe Harris & Associates, Inc. is looking for a Staff Surveyor to join our land surveying team and support the preparation of accurate, dependable surveying information for land development and civil site design projects.

What You'll Do

  • Assist Professional Land Surveyors with boundary, topographic, ALTA, construction, and other land surveying projects.
  • Assist with the preparation of survey information used for grading plans, utilities, stormwater systems, roadway designs, and other civil site plans.
  • Review field data and survey information for completeness and accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain a knowledge of field surveying methods and equipment to better understand, interpret, and process field data.
  • Support the PLS throughout the surveying process and take on increasing responsibility as technical knowledge and experience develop.

What We're Looking For

  • SIT or RLS/PLS in North or South Carolina.
  • Bachelor's degree in surveying, geomatics, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in land surveying, ideally with land development and civil site design projects.
  • Proficiency in surveying technology, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GPS/GNSS systems.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineers, clients, and stakeholders.
