Ponte Family Estate Winery opened in 2003 and is a California based company operating in the heart of the Temecula Wine Country. We have been farming our vineyards since 1984 and are a real working winery, growing and producing over 20 estate grown varietals within certified sustainable facilities.

 

We are located right next to our Four Diamond, 90 room, boutique hotel Ponte Vineyard Inn. We are surrounded by 300 acres of mature vineyards and views of rolling hills. We are a short drive from most of Southern California and enjoy hosting folks who want a break from city life. Our guests visit us seeking a relaxing day or overnight stay in the country.

Job Summary:

The Banquet Bartender will serve the guest wine and beer while providing friendly, attentive customer service that exceeds the guest expectations.

 

Compensation: $16.90 hourly  


Schedule: 

  • Open availability, days and nights
  • Weekends and Holidays

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with supervisor throughout shift to ensure efficiency, and report any concerns (safety, service, etc.)
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Assist in any setup/reset for the event to the supervisor’s / coordinator’s / guest’s specifications.
  • Be willing to assist fellow associates as needed and be a team player.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations and maintain banquet cleanliness in front and back of the house.
  • Greet guests with a smile and respond quickly to requests in a friendly and courteous manner informing them of drink choices and answering questions.
  • Serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks for guests.
  • Has common knowledge of wine and beer and can make suggestions to guests.
  • Monitor bar inventory and report to Banquet Manager / Captain.
  • Be responsible for the accuracy of wine and beer inventory at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure all sales are accounted for properly.
  • Maintain a clean work area and perform side work at the end of the shift.
  • Process guest payments in a timely and efficient manner ensuring accuracy of guest check.
  • Assist in any reset for meetings and events per the supervisor’s specifications.
  • Thank the guest for coming and invite them to return.
  • Perform any additional duties as requested by the manager.
  • Perform any other tasks as requested by Management.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to treat all associates and guests in a respectful manner.
  • Exhibits integrity (honesty and truthfulness).
  • Has attention to detail and the ability to follow direction and abide by standard.
  • Must have excellent communication, multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Must have exceptional grooming standards that are consistent with company guidelines.
  • Must have the ability to communicate in English.
  • Self-starting personality and able to work with little direction.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
  • Must be willing to assist co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
  • Must be available weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Ability to bend and stand for long periods of time in hot conditions and walking and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have basic knowledge of wine and beer.
  • Must have 2-3 years of related experience.
  • Must be able to lift and carry a wine cases up to 50lbs several times in a shift.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • FOODSAFE certification is required.
  • RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) certification is required.
