SUMMARY Â
Mortenson is currently seeking a Superintendent that will be responsible for coordinating, planning, and supervising assistant superintendents, contractors, and craft activities in a particular area of discipline, while developing and enhancing customer relationships through excellent service.  Â

RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
- Plan and implement to ensure all materials, equipment, and inspections support the project scheduleÂ
- Review construction and contract documents for completeness and constructabilityÂ
- Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers, resolving discrepanciesÂ
- Develop and manage project schedules, including three and six-week look-ahead schedulesÂ
- Develop a site logistics plan and lead the utilization of Mortenson tools and equipmentÂ
- Collaborate with project partner superintendentsÂ
- Conduct on-site project orientations, pre-construction planning sessions, and project site meetingsÂ
- Supervise project partners, craft foremen, and crews; interview, hire, transfer, and dismiss craft team members as neededÂ
- Coach and mentor assistant superintendents, craft team members, and other project team membersÂ
- Ensure proper task coding of work hours on timecards, track work progress and craft productivityÂ
- Handle craft team member training and conduct career development discussionsÂ
- Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levelsÂ
- Lead team members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback, and manage performanceÂ
- Provide high-level management of safety, quality, risk, and compliance for the project and team membersÂ
- Recognize and mitigate unfavorable working conditions and seek opportunities to improve processes and proceduresÂ

QUALIFICATIONSÂ
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or 10 years trade experienceÂ
- Minimum 10 years construction management or related experienceÂ
- Current driver’s licenseÂ
- Ability to fulfill responsibilities for multiple, complex projectsÂ
- Detail-oriented with the ability to organize and manage multiple project tasksÂ
- Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practicesÂ
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skillsÂ
- Positive and professional attitude with strong customer service skillsÂ
- Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policiesÂ
- Active listening skills and effective communication including openness to diverse input and feedbackÂ
- Ability to travel up to 100%Â

The base pay range for this role is $130,100 MIN - $195,200 MAX. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).Â
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.Â
