Our nuclear pharmacy prepares and dispenses radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic use, operating under some of the most rigorous regulatory standards in all of healthcare. Â
The RoleÂ
We are looking for a detail-oriented, dependable Nuclear Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will support all aspects of nuclear pharmacy operations under the direct supervision of a licensed nuclear pharmacist — from preparing and dispensing radiopharmaceuticals to maintaining radiation safety compliance and coordinating time-sensitive deliveries to hospitals and imaging centers.Â
This is a highly specialized, non-retail role that requires precision, accountability, and a genuine commitment to regulatory compliance and patient safety. Â

ScheduleÂ
- Monday – Friday, 12:00 AM – 8:30 AM If you thrive when the rest of the world is asleep and want consistent, predictable overnight hours — this shift is a fit.Â
Occasional overtime may be required to meet patient care or business needs.Â
Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Prepare, label, and dispense radiopharmaceutical doses under pharmacist supervisionÂ
- Perform quality control testing — radiochemical purity, pH, visual inspectionÂ
- Operate and calibrate dose calibrators; manage time-sensitive preparation schedulesÂ
- Handle, store, and dispose of radioactive materials per NRC and ALARA standardsÂ
- Coordinate time-sensitive deliveries to hospitals and imaging centersÂ
- Maintain accurate documentation per NRC, AZ Board of Pharmacy, and accrediting body requirementsÂ
Requirements
Â
RequiredÂ
- Active Arizona Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) License in good standing — required at time of hireÂ
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in a regulated environmentÂ
- Ability to work in a time-sensitive, highly structured environment with fluctuating workload demandsÂ
- Comfortable working in controlled and restricted radiation areas with full PPE complianceÂ
- Authorized to work lawfully in the United StatesÂ
Preferred (We Will Train!)Â
- Previous nuclear pharmacy or radiopharmaceutical experienceÂ
- Familiarity with NRC regulations, ALARA principles, or radiation safety protocolsÂ
- Experience with dose calibrators, wipe tests, or area surveysÂ
- Nuclear pharmacy technician training program completionÂ
- Experience coordinating time-sensitive deliveries to clinical or imaging facilitiesÂ
