Position Summary
The Job Coordinator is the technical and commercial link between customers, outside sales, engineering, and production. This role develops accurate quotes and executable work plans for heavy-equipment refurbishments and new-part manufacturing, then coordinates each job through the L&H operating system from order entry through completion and invoicing. The successful candidate combines strong technical judgment with customer service, adaptability, ownership, and a positive, solutions-oriented mindset.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare accurate, timely quotes for refurbishment, repair, and new-part manufacturing opportunities, including scope, labor, material, outside processing, lead time, and commercial assumptions.
• Partner closely with outside sales to clarify customer requirements, develop solutions, support pricing strategy, communicate status, and respond quickly to changing priorities.
• Develop practical work plans and job scopes for refurbishments and new manufacturing, translating customer needs, drawings, specifications, inspection findings, and technical requirements into clear production steps.
• Create and maintain sales orders, work orders, quotes, job data, and related records in the company operating system; ensure information is complete, accurate, and usable by downstream departments.
• Coordinate daily with internal customers including Purchasing, Shipping/Receiving, Machinists, Welders, Mechanics, Engineering, Quality, and other support functions to remove roadblocks and keep jobs moving.
• Monitor work-in-process, job costs, material status, outside services, schedule commitments, and on-time delivery risk; escalate issues early and drive timely resolution.
• Review completed job costs and scope changes to support accurate final pricing and invoicing, while communicating significant variances to sales and leadership.
• Build, update, and maintain engineering masters and job documentation as required to improve repeatability, quality, estimating accuracy, and future job execution.
• Support quality expectations for L&H parts, products, and services; help resolve warranty matters, customer concerns, and job-related issues professionally and promptly.
• Champion safe work practices and L&H mission, vision, and values while contributing to a collaborative, accountable, and customer-focused culture.

• Strong organization and follow-through with the ability to manage multiple active jobs, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-changing environment.
• Demonstrated adaptability, problem-solving, ownership, and a consistently positive, team-oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related technical field; equivalent technical education and directly relevant heavy-industrial, mining, mineral processing, hydro, or other severe-duty industrial experience may be considered.
