Summary
The Business Analyst Rotation Program is designed to develop high-potential entry-level and early-career professionals, with less than two years of professional experience, into future analytical and business experts/leaders at SRP. Through a structured rotational experience, participants build a strong foundation in analytical thinking, business operations, and strategic decision-making, preparing them for long-term career growth across areas such as finance, accounting, planning, technology, customer service, and other key business functions.

Over the course of the two-year program, participants gain broad exposure to SRP's operations, organizational structure, and the evolving utility industry. Participants complete a series of six-month rotations in core analytical disciplines, including finance, planning, and business information technology, while exploring elective opportunities aligned with their interests, business needs, and career goals. The program combines hands-on project work, professional development, and mentorship opportunities to accelerate learning and prepare participants for future leadership opportunities within SRP.

What You'll Do
- Learn about SRP businesses, projects, priorities, and strategy.
- Retrieves, analyzes and summarizes business, operations, customer and/or economic data in order to develop business intelligence, optimize effectiveness, and/or predict business outcomes.
- Identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends or patterns and prepares ongoing reports and data visualizations (e.g., charts, dashboards, heat maps) in order to support business decisions.
- Typically uses dedicated business intelligence applications and/or cloud services (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau), but may also leverage the reporting capabilities of existing ERP, CRM, and/or database software vendors.
- Provide qualitative and quantitative analysis in support of helping SRP achieve its long-term financial and operational objectives.
- Provide analysis of business best practices and peer comparisons.
- Gain experience in cross departmental projects
- Prepare recommendation materials for management consideration.
- Prepare and/or present written and oral reports and presentations
- Forms and maintains excellent relationships with internal departments.
- When required, travel to suppliers' facilities, industry organizational functions and SRP facilities.
- Partner with business and technology teams to understand business needs and help develop data, process and technology enabled solutions.
Education
Additional Requirements and Qualifications
The successful candidate should have the following skills and abilities:
- Proven analytical and quantitative abilities (professional or academic, as applicable).
- Demonstrated leadership qualities.
- Working understanding of the principles of statistics, economics, finance and data visualization.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to "see the big picture."
- Ability to comfortably handle ambiguous concepts and problems with varying levels of complexity.
- Ability to perform multiple assignments concurrently.
- Ability to interact well with others and build constructive and effective relationships.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.

Preferred academic backgrounds include Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems (MIS), and related business disciplines.

Hybrid Workplace
SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
