POSITION SUMMARY

The Site Controller will serve as the financial lead for the Micro-Tronics business unit, which is part of a Division in the Mechanical segment of Arxis (NASDAQ: ARXS). Acting as a key business partner to the Site Co-General Managers, with a matrixed reporting relationship to the Division Vice President of Finance. This role is responsible not only for ensuring the integrity of financial reporting and compliance but also for collaborating with Site and Divisional leadership to inform and drive strategic decision-making, operational performance, and profitable growth. This position is ideal for someone who wants to influence business outcomes, develop talent, and partner with operations and leadership in a rapid growth environment.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position includes the following essential functions but is not limited to them. Additional duties may be assigned:

Financial Leadership & Strategy

  • Serve as the financial leader for the site, partnering closely with the Site Co-GMs and Division VP of Finance to develop and execute business strategies.
  • Translate financial insights into clear, actionable recommendations that improve profitability, cash flow, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes for the business unit.
  • Evaluate, enhance, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), identify trends, and proactively address risks and opportunities.

Accounting & Compliance

  • Oversee all business unit accounting activities including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and GAAP.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with corporate and audit requirements as well as ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.
  • Facilitate necessary improvements to the internal control environment to support Division and overall Parent activity, including activities necessary to support ongoing public company reporting requirements.
  • Manage inventory accounting, cost analysis, and partner with Operations and Site Leadership to execute ongoing cycle counting and annual full physical inventory counts.

 Business Partnership

  • Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, HR, Quality and Sales to align financial performance with business objectives.
  • Provide financial analysis and decision support for pricing, product mix, capital investments, and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, balancing financial discipline with strategic growth goals.

Team Leadership & Development

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and financial analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate financial concepts for non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authority.
  • Experience leading and developing team members.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with Infor Syteline is a plus.
  • Public company experience and demonstrated success in ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley is a plus.


EDUCATION & JOB HISTORY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, ideally including experience as an Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or similar role in a manufacturing or production environment.
