Staff CAD / Drafting Specialist

What You Will Do

Design and develop 3D CAD models and drawings for concept, prototype, and production, focusing on manufacturability, cost efficiency, and accuracy.
Create and refine components, subsystems, fixtures, and tooling in compliance with internal and external standards.
Lead or support engineering change control processes, including documentation creation and release.
Analyze R&D input independently and deliver actionable design outputs that support project success.
Contribute to product development by applying knowledge of current offerings and competitive landscape.
Mentor peers on CAD, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and related systems, resolving technical issues and building team capability.
Participate in cross-functional teams during product ideation, testing, and prototype delivery, driving alignment and collaboration.
Apply and interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure accuracy and compliance with drafting standards.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

Minimum high school diploma with 6 years of additional relevant CAD experience, or associate degree with 4 years, or bachelor’s degree.
Minimum 4 years of experience in 3D CAD design and related software.
Expertise in CAD modeling, drafting standards, and GD&T.
Experience with PLM systems.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience leading or supporting cross-functional design projects.
Familiarity with intellectual property considerations in design.
Ability to contribute to process improvements and standard reviews.

$77,700 - $129,500 USD Annual
