We’re looking for a Talent Specialist who is HR-savvy and tech-forward who can connect talent strategy.Â
In this role, you will partner closely within the Office of Human Resources, HR Business Partners, to support business needs, translate talent strategy into action, and guide the adoption of new tools and approaches. You will work cross-functionally to advance talent experience for our university community.Â
How you will contribute
Connect Talent Strategy to Execution
Bridge strategy and execution across Talent Management and OHR
Translate talent strategy into clear, actionable insights for leaders and stakeholders
Support consistent application of talent practices across teams
Guide HRBPs with tools, insights, and approaches that strengthen impact
Advance Talent Initiatives
Support the design and rollout of ASU’s talent marketplace
Contribute to key talent initiatives and ensure alignment across programs
Help move initiatives from concept to launch through coordination and follow-through
Use Technology and Data to Improve Talent Outcomes
Leverage HR systems, platforms, and emerging tools to enhance talent processes
Analyze workforce data and translate it into meaningful insights
Support development of dashboards, reports, and decision-making tools
Identify opportunities to better connect systems, data, and workflows
Enable Communication and Adoption
Develop clear, consistent communications across Talent functions
Create user-friendly resources that support adoption of new tools and processes
Help guide leaders and teams through change
Ensure alignment in messaging across Talent Management and HRBP teams
Support Employee Relations
Build foundational knowledge of employee relations by supporting HRBPs on employee matters and observing how issues are assessed and resolved
Learn how to apply HR policies and practicesÂ
Coordinate and Improve Processes
Manage multiple cross-functional initiatives and priorities
Facilitate collaboration and track progress across teams
Develop materials and presentations for leadership
Identify opportunities to simplify and improve how work gets done
What you will need

Experience with HR technologies, talent platforms, or digital and AI-enabled tools
Familiarity with skills-based frameworks, competency models, or skills-driven approaches
Experience working with data, dashboards, or reporting tools to support decision-making
Ability to lead and deliver projects from concept through executionÂ
Exposure to employee relations or interest in developing ER capabilities
Experience in higher education or similarly complex organizations

Working Environment
Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse; required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work. Occasional bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds.
