Position
AMMTEC Consultants is seeking a technical draftsman to support our engineering team in our Tempe, AZ office. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to develop their drafting and technical skills while working alongside experienced engineers.
The successful candidate will assist in preparing construction drawings, plan sets, and technical documentation for pool, shade, and other structural projects. Applicants should be able to manage multiple assignments, work effectively in a team environment, and produce accurate, high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and revise engineering drawings and construction documents using drafting and technical software.
- Assist engineers with the development of site plans, construction details, and project layouts.
- Maintain drawing files and project documentation.
- Coordinate drawing revisions based on engineer and client feedback.
- Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company standards.
- Support project teams with drafting related tasks.
- Perform occasional site visits and field verification, as needed.
Qualifications
- Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in Drafting, CAD Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred.
- 0-3 years of drafting experience.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit or other drafting software preferred.Â
- Ability to learn and effectively utilize Company drafting software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, construction drawings, and technical documents preferred.Â
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and file management within a Windows environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Valid driver's license required.
