Overview

Dental Patient Coordinator

Mark Waring Perio

 

We are seeking a friendly and organized Dental Patient Coordinator to join our dedicated team. In this role, you’ll serve as the first point of contact for our patients, present treatment plans, assist with insurance processing, and help ensure a smooth and positive experience throughout their visit.

 

Schedule: Full Time, Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 5:00pm, and every other Friday 7:00am - 3:00pm


Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and ensure a welcoming, professional environment
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, manage provider calendars
  • Present and review treatment plans with patients, ensuring they understand recommended procedures and financial expectations
  • Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and manage patient communication
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary pre-authorizations
  • Process payments, handle billing, and maintain accurate financial records
  • Maintain patient records and ensure accurate data entry
  • Coordinate patient flow and assist with administrative support as needed
  • Ensure compliance with patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations
  • Please note that additional responsibilities may be assigned

Qualifications

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of dental front office experience

Preferred Skills

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
  • Experience with dental practice management software
  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of dental insurance and billing procedures
