Job description: Work in the field in various settings on comprehensive industrial and mechanical projects. Responsible for maintenance and repair of industrial machinery and mining equipment using welding and mechanical skills. This position requires working in adverse weather conditions and working at heights. This position requires traveling and willing to work in different departments in the shop setting when field work is not available with regular overtime. Welding experience and mechanical ability is a must. Must be willing to travel with limited notice.
Formal Requirements and Certifications of Job –
Required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in welding or heavy industrial mechanics
- Knowledge of shop mechanics and mechanical equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot, identify and correct problems
- Good verbal and written communication
- Team player with focus on safety and quality
- Ability to prioritize, organize and multi-task daily
- Self-directed and can work with minimal supervision
- Travel is required-travel can be lower 48 states, Canada and Mexico
- Willingness to learn
- 18 years or older
Preferred:
- MSHA (Mine, Safety, Health Administration)
- OSHA safety training
- 2 year Welding degree or certificate
- Knowledge of shop mechanics and mechanical equipment
- Successfully completed college welding program or have at least 2 years of welding experience including dual shield welding
Special Demands
- Lift or carry 75lbs
