Job description: L&H Industrial is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Inspector / NDT Technician to support manufacturing, repair, rebuild, and customer-facing quality operations across multiple industries.This role is responsible for inspecting manufactured, repaired, and purchased components and assemblies to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, customer requirements, and internal quality standards. Responsibilities include dimensional inspections, incoming inspections, as-found condition audits, non-destructive testing (NDT), documentation development, and customer reporting.

This position requires individuals who can ālook beyond the obviousā and identify nonconformances related not only to dimensions, but also workmanship, documentation, traceability, stamping, engraving, packaging, coatings, labeling, and overall product presentation.

Ā Essential Duties & Responsibilities
ļ· Perform dimensional inspections of manufactured and repaired components using precision measuring equipmentĀ
ļ· Conduct incoming inspections and audits of vendor-supplied materials, components, and assembliesĀ
ļ· Perform āas-foundā inspections and condition assessments on customer components and equipmentĀ
ļ· Develop detailed inspection reports and supporting documentation for internal and customer useĀ
ļ· Verify compliance with engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, specifications, procedures, and customer standardsĀ
ļ· Perform or support non-destructive testing (NDT), including MT, PT, and UT inspections when qualifiedĀ
ļ· Identify and document nonconforming conditions and communicate findings clearly and professionallyĀ
ļ· Review components for workmanship, traceability, marking, stamping, engraving, packaging, coatings, and other quality-related requirementsĀ
ļ· Support root cause investigations and corrective actions when quality issues ariseĀ
ļ· Interface directly with manufacturing, engineering, operations, vendors, and customersĀ
ļ· Travel to customer sites, field locations, and vendors as needed to perform inspections, audits, and final acceptance activitiesĀ
ļ· Maintain accurate records and inspection documentation in accordance with company and customer requirementsĀ
ļ· Support continuous improvement initiatives and help strengthen quality processes throughout the organizationĀ

Required Qualifications
ļ· Commitment to workplace safety and quality excellenceĀ
ļ· Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing and repair processesĀ
ļ· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and technical documentsĀ
ļ· Working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)Ā
ļ· Experience using precision measuring tools and inspection equipmentĀ
ļ· Strong written and verbal communication skillsĀ
ļ· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systemsĀ
ļ· Ability to work independently with minimal supervisionĀ
ļ· High attention to detail and strong organizational skillsĀ
ļ· Willingness to identify and escalate quality concerns when standards are not metĀ
ļ· Ability to adapt to a wide variety of industries, products, and customer requirementsĀ
ļ· Valid driverās license with acceptable driving record
Preferred Qualifications
ļ· ASNT NDT Level II certification/experience/willingness to obtain certification in:Ā
- Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)Ā
- Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT)Ā
- Ultrasonic Testing (UT)Ā
ļ· 3+ years of experience in quality inspection, machining, welding, manufacturing, repair, or heavy industrial environmentsĀ
ļ· FARO Arm and/or portable CMM experienceĀ
ļ· Laser Tracker experienceĀ
ļ· Experience with inspection software and digital reporting systemsĀ
ļ· Associates degree in Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering Technology, Drafting, or related fieldĀ
ļ· Engineering, drafting, machining, or field service backgroundĀ
ļ· Experience interacting directly with customers and vendorsĀ
ļ· Experience in mining, oil & gas, power generation, or heavy industrial environments
Physical Requirements
ļ· Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs regularlyĀ
ļ· Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work in industrial shop and field environmentsĀ
ļ· Ability to work around heavy equipment and large componentsĀ
ļ· Ability to travel as required, including overnight travel
