Micro-Tronics, Inc. (MTI) is seeking a Supply Chain Manager who is responsible for developing and implementing production plans, ensuring on-time delivery of products, and optimizing inventory levels to support efficient Repair & Overhaul (R&O) operations. This role oversees production planning, purchasing, inventory management, supplier performance, and material flow while collaborating cross-functionally to meet customer and business objectives. The Supply Chain Manager also evaluates and develops supplier relationships, manages inventory processes, and ensures materials are available to support production schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and coordinate production schedules to support operational goals and team metrics.
- Lead internal production meetings to drive schedule adherence and on-time delivery.
- Coordinate production plans with Scheduling, Production, Sales, and Marketing to support manufacturing and forecasting efforts.
- Ensure production plans align with customer requirements through cross-functional collaboration.
- Manage recovery plans between Procurement and Production when schedule disruptions occur.
- Participate in the Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process to balance customer demand, inventory levels, and backlog reduction.
Materials Planning & Procurement
- Monitor material plans to ensure alignment with production demand and financial objectives.
- Review daily MRP recommendations within the ERP system and create purchase orders as needed.
- Ensure materials are ordered, available, and maintained at appropriate inventory levels.
- Track purchased materials and outside processing to ensure on-time vendor deliveries.
- Obtain vendor pricing, availability, and delivery information.
- Monitor vendor pricing changes and communicate impacts to management and contract teams.
- Research, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers based on quality, pricing, service, reliability, and production capabilities.
- Evaluate existing supplier performance and partner with Quality to support vendor scorecards.
Inventory & ERP Management
- Update ERP systems daily to maintain accurate production orders, inventory, and material shortages.
- Maintain proper control of metal storage and inventory processes.
- Verify lot control is maintained and materials are properly identified and labeled.
- Partner with Quality and Warehouse teams to reduce aged inventory and improve inventory turnover.
- Complete annual physical inventory of metal storage and update inventory records in SyteLine.
Leadership & Operational Excellence
- Mentor, coach, and develop employees while monitoring productivity and performance.
- Conduct performance evaluations and maintain employee skills and training matrices.
- Set departmental goals aligned with company initiatives and core values.
- Resolve production and administrative issues through collaboration with management.
- Promote continuous improvement and support company-wide initiatives.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment following 5S principles.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and legal regulations.
Quality & Customer Support
- Support company gross margin objectives by controlling expenses and minimizing scrap.
- Deliver high-quality service to internal and external customers to improve on-time delivery performance.
- Participate in corrective actions for defective or unacceptable materials.
- Maintain working knowledge of process control and material safety requirements.
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, and job documentation as needed.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Shipping/Receiving, Supply Chain, Materials Management, or a related supervisory role.
- Experience with production planning, purchasing, inventory management, and scheduling.
- Experience working within ERP/MRP systems.
- Experience evaluating supplier performance and managing vendor relationships preferred.

- Ensure same-day processing of inbound shipments.
- Ensure same-day shipment of completed orders.
- Monitor and report percentage of jobs issued and released within seven days.
- Complete annual physical inventory of metal storage and maintain accurate SyteLine records.
- Maintain inventory turnover goals while minimizing aged inventory.
- Support company on-time delivery objectives.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb throughout the workday.
- Ability to use carts, ladders, dollies, and stools when moving or storing materials.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate computers, office equipment, and manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators when required.
- Visual ability to read documents, computer screens, and identify product details.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing environment requiring adherence to OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Frequent interaction with Operations, Planning, Finance, Quality, Customer Service, Business Development, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
