The Role
We are hiring an Accounting Clerk to support the daily transaction processing for our family of companies. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and ready to build a long-term career in accounting. You will work alongside our Bookkeeper and Junior Accountant, with clear growth opportunities as you develop your skills.
What You'll Do
- Enter vendor bills and invoices into Zoho Books and QuickBooks across multiple entities
- Process accounts payable: prepare check runs, ACH payments, and credit card payments
- Generate and send customer invoices and statements
- Apply customer payments and post them to the correct accounts
- File and organize physical and digital records, including receipts, invoices, and statements
- Match purchase orders, packing slips, and vendor invoices for three-way verification
- Maintain vendor and customer master files with accurate contact and payment information
- Assist with mailing checks, scanning documents, and routine office accounting tasks
- Support the Bookkeeper with data entry during month-end close
- Communicate with vendors and customers on basic billing and payment questions
What We're Looking For
- 0 to 2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative experience
- Familiarity with QuickBooks or Zoho Books (training will be provided for the right candidate)
- Basic understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable working with Excel or Google Sheets (basic formulas, sorting, filtering)
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow established processes
- High school diploma required; coursework or degree in Accounting or Business is a plus
- Professional communication skills for vendor and customer interactions
Bonus
- Internship or coursework in accounting
- Experience with multi-entity or multi-company environments
- Beverage, food CPG, or distribution industry exposure
- Bilingual English and Spanish
What We Offer
- Salary of $35,000 to $42,000 based on experience
