Position SummaryÂ
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations in a startup environment focused on precision metals production. This hands-on leadership role involves driving safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC) targets while mentoring frontline employees and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic, fast-paced settings and brings proven supervisory experience from metals, machining, or advanced manufacturing environment.Â

Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Shift Management:Â
- Supervise and coordinate all production floor activities to meet daily output goals.Â
- Provide clear direction and hands-on support to team leads and operators.Â
- Monitor productivity, identify inefficiencies, and adjust workflows in real time.Â
Â
- Safety, Quality & Compliance:Â
- Enforce all safety policies and ensure compliance with OSHA and company protocols.Â
- Conduct routine inspections to uphold housekeeping and operational standards.Â
- Partner with Quality to resolve non-conformances and implement corrective actions.Â
Â
- Team Leadership & Development:Â
- Train, coach, and mentor production staff to build skills and promote accountability.Â
- Conduct performance evaluations and coordinate cross-training efforts.Â
- Lead by example to reinforce a positive, safety-first culture.Â
Â
- Process & Continuous Improvement:Â
- Support process improvements through lean tools and root cause analysis.Â
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance on troubleshooting and uptime initiatives.Â
- Recommend workflow improvements, tooling upgrades, or layout changes to improve throughput.Â

- Reporting & Communication:Â
- Maintain shift logs, production tracking, and incident reports.Â
- Communicate shift updates, KPIs, and goals to team members and leadership.Â
- Attend and contribute to daily production meetings.Â

QualificationsÂ
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).Â
- 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role within manufacturing, preferably metals or machining.Â
- Proven ability to lead teams, resolve conflicts, and manage production demands under pressure.Â
- Solid knowledge of safety protocols, quality systems, and manufacturing equipment.Â
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.Â
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and manufacturing software tools.Â
- Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S, or Six Sigma preferred. Â
