Salary $19 - $25 / hour, depending upon experience. This position will go to 100% incentive pay after training is completed.
Responsibilities:Â
- Inspect Fire Extinguishers, Fire Hose, Emergency, Exit Lights, and Kitchen Hood Suppression SystemsÂ
- Service any Fire Extinguishers, Fire Hoses, and Emergency and Exit Lights that need maintenance Â
- Ensure customers understand the products and systems we maintain on their propertyÂ
- Interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a professional mannerÂ
- Demonstrate an understanding of and follow all safety regulations and practicesÂ
- Open-minded willingness for continual learningÂ
- Follow all Koorsen policies, procedures, and core valuesÂ
- Any other duties deemed appropriate by managementÂ
Required:Â
- 1 year of mechanical skills and customer service experience
- Pass drug and background screeningsÂ
- Strong written and verbal communication skillsÂ
- state licensing requirements and vendor certificationsÂ
- Valid driver’s licenseÂ
Preferred:Â
- 1-3 years of Fire Life Safety experienceÂ
- Route sales or sales experienceÂ
- Fire Extinguisher Vendor CertificationsÂ
Physical Demands:
- Able to safely and effectively use general hand and power tools
- Must be able to use a cell phone and cell phone app effectively
- Lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs. Push and pull more significant than 75 lbs.
- Climb a ladder reaching a height of at least 12 feet and use a man lift to perform service
- Exposure to outside weather conditions, temperature changes, and loud noise
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to talk or hear.  The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
HIRING PROCESS (in addition to an interview):
New hires must complete the I-9 Verification form within three days of hire. The U.S. Department of Justice and Immigration and Immigration and Naturalization Services require this form. It is used to verify your identity and right to work in the United States. In addition, we verify employment eligibility via E-Verify.
Background checks with criminal courts, state and county repositories of criminal records, and the Department of Motor Vehicles are required for all Positions.
Tests for Evidence of Substance Abuse through a urinalysis test are required if this application results in an offer of employment.
