ARCO/Murray National Construction is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Mission Critical team on-site in Sullivan, INÂ to connect office project management and field superintendent teams while driving effective onsite execution. The ideal candidate can lead subcontractor coordination, monitor schedules, resolve field issues, and communicate clearly with trade partners, owners, architects, and internal teams. You bring a disciplined approach to documentation, QA/QC, inspections, cost reporting, and safety, along with the judgment to make sound decisions under tight deadlines. Most importantly, you take ownership of project outcomes and build trust by delivering quality work safely while meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

Typical base compensation for the On-Site Project Manager role is between $84,000.00 and $135,000.00. Candidates with extensive experience may exceed this range. In addition to base salary, the role is eligible to receive discretionary bonus compensation based on individual and company performance.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Manage subcontractor performance and resolve field issues.
- Monitor project schedule and report progress between office project management team and field superintendent team.
- Maintain accurate documentation of field activities.
- Lead daily coordination meetings with trade partners.
- Identify and investigate opportunities to procure material and/or specialty equipment directly when advantageous to project budget or schedule.
- Work with Project Superintendent to develop and review subcontractor scopes of work/contracts, project schedule, and site logistics plan.
- Lead preconstruction planning meetings with subcontractors and vendors aimed at solving potential constructability, sequencing, and/or manpower issues.
- Develop and implement QA/QC plans for assigned projects.
- Conduct site inspections and verify compliance with specifications and codes.
- Manage documentation of inspections, testing, and corrective actions.
- Identify and resolve quality issues proactively.
- Participate with the office project managers in preparing a schedule of construction activities and their sequence, the organization structure, staff selection, and the manpower and construction equipment requirements of the project and coordinate onsite with the field superintendents for implementation.
- Coordinate the activities of subcontractors to permit them to perform their work effectively and to integrate it with project schedules and progress.
- Inform all supervisors and subcontractors promptly of any construction schedule changes.
- Assist in the preparation of all job progress and cost reports to accurately reflect actual costs.
- Review and approve all requisitions, field purchase orders, invoices, and other significant reports and documents.
- Cooperate with the owner and his representatives, keeping them informed of construction progress.
- Cooperate with architects or owner representatives on an amicable basis, but in the long-term interest of the company.
- Maintain a daily diary to permanently record all significant project facts, events, conditions, visitors, owner representative contacts, commitments, agreements and approvals.
- Direct adherence to the company’s safety program in all phases and areas of the project.
- Make decisions under tight deadlines.
- Organize people, tools, and equipment and plan/manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results.
- Demonstrate leadership skills with ability and willingness to face challenges, direct others, and adequately address conflict.
- Exhibit commitment to quality by evaluating project-related processes and making necessary changes, using customer input to make improvements, and meeting/exceeding internal and external customer expectations.
- Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its values, and the employees, while maintaining a constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and expectations.
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS
- BS in Engineering, construction management, or related field required
- 2-5 years of construction management and/or field coordination experience required. Previous design/build project experience strongly preferredÂ
- Previous experience leading data center or advanced manufacturing projects strongly preferred Â
- Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project
