Job Summary:

The Machine Operator will be responsible of the equipment and ensure proper set up, start up, shut-down procedures and safe operation. The operator will play a key role in improving safety, quality, productivity, and cost on existing manufacturing processes.

 

 

Essential Responsibilities
 

  • Engage in safe work behaviors and adhere to all organization's safety standards and regulations. 
  • Responsible for equipment start-up, set-up, shut-down, malfunction detection, and inspection to resolve or escalate.
  • Feeds product into the hopper or other feeding device(s) into designated equipment
  • Basic knowledge of the use of PLC's programming.
  • Responsible for the support of automation equipment in a manufacturing environment and support of existing automation systems.
  • Identify basic mechanical, electrical, and computer systems issues or alerts and reset appropriately.
  • Interpreter and follow maintenance procedures.
  • Confer with supervisors, peers, or engineers to plan and review work activities and resolve production problems.
  • Explain assembly procedures or techniques to other workers.
  • Understand the usage of calipers, quality department tools, and adhere to production quality metrics and standards.
  • Ensure cleanliness of equipment in your responsibility regularly.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications
 

  • Operate tool functions in full production mode.
  • Determine error codes and restart or next steps to resume operations.
  • Basic trouble shooting on error codes - determine fault condition.
  • Identify material status - replenishment and schedule.
  • Able to read and interpret SPC charts, trends and out of control tool station patterns.
  • Able to work with technicians and engineers to further develop tool knowledge and ownership.
  • Able to support process or tool experiments.
  • Work in a team environment.
