Escapology is looking for a hands-on Venue Manager to lead the daily operation of one of our escape room venues. This is not a sit-behind-a-desk management position. One moment you may be coaching an employee or planning a private event, and the next you may be helping guests, resetting a game, troubleshooting a puzzle, or fixing a prop. If you enjoy fast-paced hospitality and no two days being exactly the same, this could be the perfect role for you! What You’ll Do Lead daily venue operations and create a fun, welcoming experience for guests and employees. Hire, train, coach, schedule, and develop a team of approximately 10–15 employees. Address employee performance concerns and administer appropriate disciplinary action with support from Human Resources and the Area Manager. Independently open and close the venue while following all security, cash-handling, and safety procedures. Ensure shifts are properly covered and step in when call-outs or open shifts cannot otherwise be filled. Book, coordinate, and oversee private events from planning through completion. Respond to guest questions, complaints, emails, phone calls, and reservation requests. Manage online guest reviews and coach the team on creating review-worthy experiences. Monitor labor, sales, guest counts, discounts, product costs, waste, overtime, and other operating metrics. Maintain inventory and purchase approved beverages, merchandise, cleaning products, event materials, and venue supplies. Keep games, props, puzzles, and the overall facility operating at Escapology franchise standards. Complete basic maintenance and repairs and escalate advanced technical concerns when necessary. Support local marketing events and promote additional games, beverages, merchandise, and private-event opportunities. Work alongside the team by game mastering, resetting rooms, assisting guests, and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. QualificationsYou May Be a Great Fit If You Are A confident and approachable leader who enjoys developing employees. Organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently. Able to multitask and remain calm in a busy, fast-paced environment. A strong communicator who can professionally handle guest and employee concerns. Comfortable learning technology, troubleshooting problems, and completing basic repairs. Available to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. At least 21 years old with reliable transportation. TIPS certified or willing to complete company-provided training. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. An associate or bachelor’s degree is also preferred but not required. Employment is subject to successful completion of a background check and/or CORI screening.
