Position Title:
Mortgage Closing Coordinator
Reports to:
VP - Mortgage
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects relating to closing.
- Responsible for accuracy for closing documents including initial escrow collection and insurance if applicable.
- Monitors compliance regarding loan parameters depending on loan type.
- Prepares all closing checks with strong emphasis on accuracy.
- Should possess excellent verbal and written skills to accommodate members, title companies, attorneys, and realtors both in person as well as via telephone.
- Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and follow verbal and written instructions proficiently.
- Assists with inputting closed loans into our core system.
- Help with escrow when needed.
- Work well with co-workers and maintain a “team” attitude within the Credit Union.
- All employees will maintain confidentiality regarding member information with the highest regard.
- Properly maintain work area, strictly adhering to Credit Union policy regarding member’s privacy.
- Receives mortgage loan files post-closing and packages each file per investor guidelines for electronic delivery.
- Maintains logs and communication with investor suspense teams to clear post-closing/pre-funding conditions.
- Must ensure each secondary market loan electronically as well as facilitate the delivery of the file to the prospective investor prior to delivery deadline.
- Adheres to all Red River Employees Federal Credit Union policies and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience in real estate entry including but not limited to account servicing and maintenance, data entry, filing, etc.
- High school diploma or the equivalent with some college desirable.
- Competent computer skills and use of standard office equipment.
- Ability to meet, speak, and deal effectively with people, being professional always.
- Must maintain a neat and professional appearance.
- While the following list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented, identified physical requirements include the ability to operate normal office equipment and some lifting, not to exceed 25 pounds.
