This role is focused on getting work done: turning business priorities into projects, keeping systems stable and secure, and helping tools and processes scale as the organization grows (about 140+ employees). You will work closely with business leaders, Operations, and vendors across infrastructure, applications, end user services, and operational technology.

Responsibilities

•        Deliver the technology roadmap by turning priorities into scoped projects, timelines, and outcomes.

•        Run core IT operations and support so employees have dependable devices, connectivity, and systems.

•        Own incident, problem, and change processes and set expectations for response and communication.

•        Administer and improve the Microsoft environment, including Microsoft 365, identity (Active Directory and Entra ID), and Azure.

•        Partner with Operations on OT connected technology needs and improve availability and security while maintaining appropriate controls and separation.

•        Drive cybersecurity execution by implementing practical controls, managing vulnerabilities, improving monitoring, and maintaining incident response readiness.

•        Support and improve business systems (ERP, CIS, asset management), including upgrades, integrations, vendor coordination, and user adoption.

•        Manage day to day relationships with vendors and contractors, including contracts, licensing, service levels, and performance.

•        Own budgeting, forecasting, and prioritization for IT spend and communicate tradeoffs and risks.

•        Improve documentation, standards, and asset lifecycle practices for hardware, software, and related technology.

•        Lead, coach, and develop the team, set clear goals, and ensure reliable coverage.

Requirements

Requirements

•                   10+ years of experience including 5+ years of progressive management IT experience, people leadership, and delivery of cross-functional initiatives.

•                   Strong execution skills. You can prioritize, plan, and deliver while balancing daily support needs with project work.

•                   Experience with the Microsoft stack (Microsoft 365 and identity) and working knowledge of Azure.

•                   Experience operating an IT support function, including service management practices and vendor coordination.

•                   Solid security fundamentals and experience putting controls in place, reducing risk, and responding to incidents.

•                   Clear communicator who can partner with leaders across the business and drive change.

•                   Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

•                   Experience in a utility environment, including exposure to CIS, ERP, and asset management systems.

•                   Comfort working alongside OT stakeholders and vendors, with an understanding of OT constraints and security considerations.

•                   Familiarity with SOX related IT controls (ITGC) and supporting internal and external audits.

•                   Working knowledge of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and how to apply it in a practical way.

•                   Azure identity and security experience (for example, Entra ID, conditional access, MFA, security monitoring).

•                   Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ITIL, and Microsoft Azure are helpful.
