Responsibilities

What You'll Get To Do:

Performs varied assignments with limited supervision. conducts complex accounting and financial analysis activities. Solve problems with management under new organization.

Accountability

  • Assist monthly, quarterly and Year End closing activities, balance sheet and expense accounts reconciliation and analysis vs BP, vs forecast, vs last year.
  • Prepare and post Journal entries, process Intercompany/ divisions transactions, validate monthly allocations; intercompany settlements.
  • Assist with BP and forecast preparation for income statement and balance sheet by division
  • Support special projects and ad hoc financial analyses
  • Prepare management reports for local and corporate leadership, including international headquarters
  • Assist in Fixed Assets control and registration
  • Assist with SOX self-assessments, internal controls, and external/internal audits

 


Qualifications

What You'll Bring:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
  • 2+ years cumulative accounting experience
  • Experience with month-end and quarter-end close processes
  • Experience preparing journal entries and account reconciliations. (Accruals, reserves, liabilities)
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis), Power BI, experience with ERP systems: SAP preferable, 3-way match
  • Exposure to SOX compliance and audit support activities preferred

  • Internal: Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Operations, Sales, and Manufacturing teams in the U.S. and Mexico
  • External: Corporate headquarters in the U.S. and Japan, external auditors, and business partners as required
  • Ability to effectively communicate financial information and business insights to various levels of management

Other Requirements: 

  • Hybrid working schedule (onsite working Tue-Thu)
  • Travel up to 5% may be required, warehouse locations, and/or customer locations throughout the world.

The wage range of $66,000 - $76,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives.
